“Houssup team is a very interesting combination of techies, architects and interior designers. Through a combination of 3D visualisation and virtual reality, Houssup makes it easier for the house owner (typically the woman of the house) to curate her own ideal interior design. With a modular design library and back end tie ups with interior contractors and furniture manufacturers, they are able to deliver the exact design to the customer.”

1. Can you tell more about your start up?
Houssup.com aims at substantially altering the conventional idea and hassles that go behind designing or renovation of a space by inculcating technical interventions of modern visual technologies like Augmented Reality, Virtual tours & Artificial Intelligence and to create an end to end ecommerce platform for all the interior designing needs for designers as well as consumer.
We would be creating a social global grandstand for designers and design enthusiasts where they could interact with each other, share their ideas, exhibit their work and get the fame they always needed. Designer community will generate designs for inspiration and creativity for which Houssup will help them get leads and be paid for.
2. When and how did you generate this business model?
We wanted to make a consumer centric platform for complete interior designing and iterated various models to finally arrive at this one. It took us around 3 months in which we talked to various customers, mentors and entrepreneurs to understand the immediate needs of the market and developed a model in which we are becoming an “ecosystem of interior designing ” where all the concerned people can interact and get best value for their time and money .
3. When and how did you form a team? Can you tell us more about your team?
We are all known to each other since more than 7 years, and since then have remained close friends. We have complimentary skill set of crème de la crème from civil to architecture to mechanical and once when we decided to open this venture our friends joined us in this revolutionary journey of empowering the lifestyle of masses.

5. Can you tell me how your start-up works?
Houssup.com offers an interactive and user-friendly platform where people can browse through a plethora of interior design templates, make a mood board according to their taste, get up to 5 quotations based on the mood board, get the chosen design visualized through our Augmented Reality gadget before implementation and finally DIY or hire an interior designer to complete the project on just a click.
6. What do you think, is the estimated capacity of the market? Please explain the analytical basis of this estimation.
Interior designing and renovation markets are one of the highest growing market because of increasing incomes and higher demands for better living standards. As per a market study by research firm Technopak, “The Indian Home Décor market, which stood at $13 billion in 2010, will now touch $30 billion by 2020”.
Revenue streams include subscription amount from designers, affiliate marketing of contractors and manufacturers, service charge from customers.
We are currently witnessing a gross transaction value of Rs 26 lacs a month, and in the next one year, we are planning to reach a GTV (gross transaction value) of Rs 12.5 crore a month. Our strong GTV ensures we have superior cash flows in hand, along with the GTV we set premium designers on boarding , number of unique visitors, subscribers and the AR content as our KPI’s on which we have significant growth since we launched 4 months back.

8. Can you share how much capital needed when you started? How many people are there in your team?
a. Team initially bootstrapped with limited financial resources and CEO Devendra gave up his Harley for the startup.
b. Now we are 14 member strong team, with friends and professionals joining during the process.
Sh. Mitin Patel, MD, Prima Automation, Gujrat and Ar. Gaurav Agarwal , Domain Expert , Jaipur and Mitin Patel is joining the board with a successful angel round.
9. How are you planning to use the fund you get?
We will be requiring funds majorly to scale our operations and enhance our technology.
10. What objectives are you expecting to achieve in future?
We have set high expectations for us and hence set high objective reach for Houssup. The centre of the objective lies in providing customer satisfaction through our value proposition.We have our offices currently operating in Jaipur and Gurgaon, with registered office at Jaipur, Design and Tech HeadOffice at Gurgaon, so we wish to continue the same in the near future.

There is no authentic platform which offers global designs, customization, visualization and implementation by qualified and experienced interior designers.
