With untiring hard work, their innovative attitude and positive perspective, the CybrHome team has not only become a group of promising entrepreneurs, but also a source of inspiration for numerous young minds to delve into the realm of ideas and employ technology to satiate their creative streaks and materialize something new at an early stage.
Our team interviewed their founder, Shubham Badal, to get an insight on his journey and know more about CybrHome.
1. Tell us about yourself, your background, entrepreneurial journey and inception story of CybrHome. cheap viagra from usa.
I am the Founder and CEO of CybrHome, which I started in my college dorm room in 2013 with classmates Ashish Gupta and Ajeet Lakhani. I am a final year computer engineering undergrad at NIT Surathkal.
I was always interested in businesses, entrepreneurship and building things during my teenage. I was always more involved with projects and events instead of pure academics during my school days too. Also I had created the zeroth version of CybrHome in class IX itself which was nothing more than a simple static webpage.
At NITK, I shifted my focus on self-learning, on doing something that I really like and am good at. I started up to do something more in sync with my penchant for design & technology. I soon realized I should work on more real world projects and not spend too much time on sample projects that are never going to see the light of the day. So, I started CybrSys and CybrHome, my entrepreneurial ventures with my friends.
I spend most of my time on the web exploring various websites and interesting stuff. And I want to make others productive and efficient on the web by letting them know the websites that they must know and this is exactly why weai??i??re building CybrHome. Iai??i??ve always loved building things, staying independent and being an autodidact which I was able to ultimately actualize by building a startup.
2. What is CybrHome all about? Tell us in detail about the services offered and target segment?
CybrHome is the fastest way to explore new websites. By using CybrHome, one can find out top websites, blogs, apps and more for any given purpose, topic or category.
User can search or browse for any topic or category and we will list you the best websites for that. For e.g. you can search for a topic named ai???dance competitionsai??i?? and we will list websites of all the dance competitions across the world right there.
CybrHomeai??i??s a tool that can save your time and unlock human potential.
There is also a strong socialization component on the platform which makes it more usable and fun. You can like, rate, review, bookmark websites. Also you can mark websites as used to tell the world. You can follow your friends and people to get to know what websites they like or have tried.
3. What is your competition in the market? What is it that sets you apart from your competition?
CybrHome is my way of following my dream, passion and interests. Weai??i??re building the best website discovery platform that the world has seen. Our mission is to connect people to websites that they must know. Our product lets you hunt websites for every need and share them with friends.
4. What is the business model ofAi??CybrHome? Can you briefly summarize the growth achieved in both volume and value from the Day 1 till now?

Selling Analytics and Data to Businesses
I started up right after my first year during summer holidays. When we started, we were a product and services company and were doing multiple random things but we eventually shifted our focus on what weai??i??re doing today.
The product is ready with 40,000+ websites listed on CybrHome. We are on various platforms ai??i?? desktop web, mobile web, chrome web store and android. We are still working on making the product even better and have plans to revamp our android app this summer.
Also after we were one among top 25 student startups at Tata First Dot, we were very clear and confident about CybrHome and entrepreneurship. Since then, weai??i??ve never looked back and are excited about building the future.
5. How has been your beginnerai??i??s journey? What were the challenges faced in setting up and scaling up your enterprise? Any hurdle that you faced or are still facing?
I learnt a lot. Much more than Iai??i??ve learnt in classrooms till date. I learnt about entrepreneurship and also got exposure to the different ingredients required to build a company like design, tech, team building, business plans and more. And most importantly I learnt that if you take intelligent risks and you will find opportunities that others miss.
The obstacle of running a company while being a student is simply time management. Also you have to make tons of sacrifices if you want to run your company seriously. As the startup becomes your first priority, you hardly find time for your social life or even academics. You will have to become Bruce Wayne by day and Batman by night.
Building a good team and aligning everyone towards our mission and making them entrepreneurial was challenging. So, building and managing the team was the hard part. Other than this, since we were building such a massive project for the first time, learning tech and solving problems to get stuff done was also challenging.
Building and maintaining features for various platform and keeping them in sync is a problem as we are a small team as of now. Other tech challenges are ensuring website is up 24×7, optimizing the cloud, security and performance issues. These are the challenges (more like responsibilities) that most internet companies will face.
6. Can you tell us about your other founders/core team, their background and rich experience?
We are three computer engineering undergrads from NITK ai??i?? Me, Ashish and Ajeet. We are all from small towns and are friends from our first year of engineering. Other than us three, Almas Parveen, who is a close friend of mine and a third year student from NITK is a part of our team.
7. How is CybrHome funded? Any early stage money/seed stage experience that you would like to share with us?
We got an office space from NITK STEP which was helpful for team building and collaboration. We also got ai??? 3,00,000 as pre-seed grant from Department of Science & Technology and NITK STEP, the startup incubator of our college.
We now wish to raise some seed investment to expand our team, invest in the technology and market the product. We believe adequate funds will help us to accomplish our goals faster and better.
8. Any other areas or initiatives that you plan to venture in future?
Itai??i??s certainly going to be about CybrHome only as I cannot think of anything else for now. I want to build CybrHome into something really big that people love and find helpful. A lot more has to be done in product and technology at CybrHome.
9. What willAi??CybrHome look like in 10 years from now? All perspectives ai??i?? people, business, revenues, team, size or anything you foresee for the venture.
We will move to Bangalore, setup a space to work and build a team. Alongside, we will be working on getting early adopters for CybrHome and our seed round.
My dream is to see CybrHome become Indiaai??i??s first major B2C consumer internet company and the worldai??i??s best place to discover new websites. In the coming years Iai??i??ll be working with my team to make that happen. Also, I want to build one of the countryai??i??s best engineering team at CybrHome. Getting A-players on board and working with them to build something that is best in the world is surely going to be hard and exciting at the same time.
10. Any experience or advice you would like to share with soon to be start-up founders out there?
The message that I would like to give to young students and budding entrepreneurs is ai???start earlyai??i??. Being a student you can do a lot without bearing much risk. Behind every rosy news there is a lot of risk, pain and effort. But I believe if you take intelligent risks, you will find opportunities that others miss! So, the only thing you will require is perseverance. Starting up is easy but building it and ultimately taking it to users will be the hard part.
Also these are some point from the CybrHome culture that we follow and I believe every engineering student should follow too ai??i?? build yourself, not your resume. Do things for the right reasons. Stand out from the herd and stay focused.
Here are three reasons why you should build a company –
cheap nolvadex zoloft online, buy zithromax
You will make impact, create solutions for society, create jobs
You will learn a lot and will be different from anyone else
Even if the business plan fails, you will always have something to show to the world, you will have a story to tell ai??i?? a real solid one
CybrHome is a tool that can change the way we use the internet forever, making our daily browsing highly efficient and bringing tons of relevant information to us with just a series of clicks, thereby increasing our productivity when use the web.
We wish the team all the best and hope they will be successful in achieving their goals.
